Weston Reserve University was established
to provide an opportunity for mature adult learners living anywhere in
the world to earn degrees. The University operates on the principle
of distance education, which means that no attendance is necessary to
earn a degree. The student maintains contact with the University
via electronic means, including computers, video conferencing, e-mails,
telecommunications and by post and courier services.
The goal of Western Reserve University is
to make earning a degree possible for qualified persons of modest means,
who may not have the ability to travel or to spend long periods in classroom
settings because of family or employment obligations. Or, they may
be away from their home, serving in the military, with a service organisation,
or even incarcerated. The founders of Weston Reserve University believe
that everyone should have the opportunity to realize their personal
educational goals, if they are capable of achieving at the college level.
Weston Reserve University is an open international
university. Enrollment is based on individual evaluation of candidates’
qualifications, without regard to race, creed, gender or national
origin.

Weston Reserve University programs are for
adult learners whose busy lives made traditional on-campus study impossible.
Our WRU advisors will discuss your professional and volunteer background
to determine whether you have experiential learning that might contribute
to your degree program.
